This book had me rolling in laughter. I absolutely loved every minute of it! Libby and Wade were hilarious together and I loved that both Dick and Jane were back along with some of the other character from the past books. Libby and Wade’s boys were so stinkin cute, they made me long for the days when my kids miss used words and said things that would make me want to burst out laughing but didn’t in fear that I would hurt their feelings because they were so serious in what they were talking about. This series is so funny and well worth the money spent even though my limit for books is normally $5.00. I’m unsure if it’s shareable or not and if not, that would be my only complaint.

As always Ms. Harper writes a story that sucks you in and makes you run that emotional gauntlet. The combination of Ms. Harper’s witt & amazing storytelling combined with Amanda Conconi’s voice & talent at bring characters to life left me wishing I could move to Half Moon Hollow yet again. This is a winning combo!!!
I always love to visit Half Moon Hollow. I just love this town and the characters. I loved that In The Single Undead Moms Club we get to see how the town folk of HMH deal with the newest vampire in town. Needless to say they didn’t take it very well.
I loved Libby. Libby is such a fun character and she is great with her son. I loved that she wouldn’t let Dick hug her (I was dying laughing, poor Dick). I really liked Wade even when he was being a huge brat about the supply closet. Oh and don’t forget the epic back to school supply showdown. I really like Wade & Libby together. So much so that when I got to the end of the story I looked at my audiobook and yelled “You are not done, keep reading. Amanda why did you stop reading!!!!!”.
Finn, what can I tell you about Finn. Other then he made me really wish I could stab him with a fork.
I really can’t wait to see what is next in this series!!!!

If you've been reading Molly Harper's series so far, you know what to expect here. This is her usual fare, sweet and ultimately light hearted. There are some decent characters here and it's fun to see some of the old gang again, but I will say that at times this book seemed to just lack a little bite - pun intended.

I think that part of this is due to the fact that while the characters here are largely new, the plot is still fairly similar to earlier works and readers can easily predict what will happen for the most part. There's really no true surprises here and you can also guess fairly quickly who Libby will end up with in the long run. Still, I didn't get into Harper's work for new and interesting twists and her work is solidly comfort fare for me, so I don't really see this as a deal breaker. Especially since she's fully willing to introduce new characters and take the spotlight off her older ones, something that some other authors in the field aren't really willing to do. (coughcough*LaurellKHamilton*coughcough) I do think that the series would likely benefit from a transplant into a new area outside of Half-Moon Hollow, though - a book set in a new town, with an all new cast, perhaps? I know that there are the werewolf books, but it'd be fun to get something a little different, at least as a one shot to test the waters.

Other than that, I still greatly enjoyed the work as a whole. The characters were still interesting and I enjoyed the banter between Wade and Libby. The child custody case wasn't too bad and I liked that it didn't get as muddy and nasty as it can get IRL, since that wouldn't really fit in entirely well in a Harper book.
Like all of Molly Harper's books, this adventure is filled with humor, quirky romance, and plenty of familiar faces. Libby, a widow, escapes a sentence of terminal cancer by way of becoming a vampire, only to find her in-laws suing for custody of her six year old son. With help from her Council representatives, otherwise known as Jane and Dick, she has to prove she's still a fit parent to the community and the increasingly evil PTA. Chance encounters with a handsome mechanic spice things up, along with her previously anonymous Sire's romantic overtures. Toss in a masked man trying to kill her, and you have the perfect recipe we've come to expect from Ms. Harper.
